Students of Mugai Ryu need a special belt called an Obi, which does not come with the suit. Usually, your Instructor lets you borrow one as you try things out, but soon it's time to get your own. These don't change as you progress, so they last a lifetime! Along with your Obi, you need a wooden practice sword, called a Bokto or Bokken, and the scabbard that it goes in, called a Saya, plus the cord that it ties with, called a Sageo. Later, you will probably get your own sword, but in some of the things you do you will still use this wooden one. So once again, it lasts a lifetime!
If you are a new starter, all these things come as part of your starter pack, so check that out because it will save you a lot. If you are buying it here, getting everything at once is the cheapest way to do it, or you can choose different things using the pull down menu.
