Bredon Hill Cup
The Bredon Hill Cup Is Back!
Pattern Entries On Line By 21st January (See below.)
Pattern finals and all other competitions:
Saturday, 29th January, 2-6 p.m.
Badsey Remembrance Hall, WR11 7XD
The pandemic saw us move our 2020 event on line, and we had a fabulous 93 entries for our on line event during that difficult year. Then, the continuing difficulties with Covid 19 meant we needed to push the event planned for 2021 back a few months, to allow us to have it back live and in person.
Not familiar with it? The Bredon Hill Cup, and the associated Grasshoppers Trophy, are competitions open to LCTKD students from all our arts, with the following categories:
Traditional Patterns (Kata, Forms)
Tag Team Sparring
Plus, returning this year: High Kicks!
There are points for each category you enter, and more if you are amongst the top scores in the category. The Bredon Hill Cup goes to the individual with the best points total from all the categories, the Grasshoppers Trophy to the class with the best points total, and there's also the Ray Howe Trophy for outstanding individual performance.
To make sure it's not too crowded on finals day, we are asking for all your initial entries for patterns competitions - traditional, synchronised and creative - to be submitted on line by Friday 21st January at the latest.
Then, we will decide on the finalists for each art and in each age category, and invite them to come and demonstrate their entries in person on the day. You can submit as many entries as you want, using the link below.
Book the finals date, and get your Instructor to help you prepare. Don't forget to video your patterns / kata / forms entries and submit them by 21st January.
If you have a request for equipment or other facilities for your Best Moves or Creative Patterns entry on finals day, please let us know well in advance.
To inspire you, here's a selection of photos from some of the finalists from the 2020 on line competition.
